Shareholder Rights Directive
AMR are required by the Shareholder Rights Directive II to explain whether or not we have an engagement policy in relation to the companies we invest in. As a regional investment management firm we hold a very small proportion of shares in investee companies and far lower than large institutional asset managers and pension funds. AMR engages with companies prior to an investment and on an ad-hoc basis throughout the holding period of the investment. However, we do not engage with investee companies to the extent envisaged by SRD II. We therefore do not have a formal engagement policy.
